Installation
Enterprise installation is coordinated with OpenFactory support. The exact steps depend on your deployment model, identity provider, network restrictions, and compute environment.
Installation Flow
- Confirm topology - Select hosted private cloud, customer cloud, on-prem, or air-gapped deployment.
- Prepare infrastructure - Provision compute, storage, DNS, TLS, networking, and virtualization access.
- Install OpenFactory services - Deploy the provided release package or images.
- Configure identity - Connect SSO or create the initial local administrator.
- Connect execution targets - Register build workers, VM hosts, or supported cloud targets.
- Verify the platform - Run a sample build, boot it in a VM, and export test evidence.
Artifacts
OpenFactory support provides the release package, checksums, deployment templates, and environment documentation for your plan. Do not use internal development repositories or source tree paths as production installation inputs.
First Validation
After installation:
- Sign in to the console.
- Create a small Debian or Ubuntu build.
- Run default verification tests.
- Download the artifact or start a test VM.
- Confirm audit events and logs are flowing to your chosen destinations.
